Position Overview:

The Sourcing Manager will lead end-to-end material sourcing activities across multiple industries (Pharma, FMCG, Retail, Beverage, Automotive, Paper & Stationery). Will close deals, drive tenders, and develop market intelligence to optimize procurement strategies, ensuring Banyan Nation secures high-quality materials under favorable commercial terms and industry compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic PCR/PIR plastic material Sourcing & Category Management – Develop and execute sourcing roadmaps for industrial PCR/PIR plastic material across multiple sectors. Segment supplier categories, forecast requirements and diversify supply base for resilience.
  • Tender Management & RFx Execution – Prepare and manage RFIs, RFQs, RFPs. Coordinate end-to-end bidding: document preparation, market release, evaluation, negotiation and contract-award processes. Ensure transparency, compliance and competitive margin realization.
  • Commercial Negotiation & Deal Closure – Engage with suppliers—industrials, recyclers and sourcing partners—to negotiate PCR/PIR plastic material price, terms, ratings, logistics, and payment clauses. Ensure approval of commercial contracts that align with our organization. Category-level P&L accountability - driving sourcing strategies that deliver commercial performance in line with Banyan Nation's financial and sustainability goals.
  • Market Intelligence & Price Benchmarking – Continuously gather data on PCR/PIR plastic material price movements, sector-specific benchmarks, global supply-demand trends. Share intelligence to guide sourcing strategy and risk mitigation.
  • Supplier & Stakeholder Management – Build strong relationships with Recyclable resource networks, Sourcing Partners, and institutional buyers. Liaise internally with operations, quality, legal, logistics, and finance teams to drive alignment and execution.
  • Contract Performance & Risk Management – Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery timelines, Exception Management & Dispute Resolution). Implement corrective actions. Manage tender compliance, supplier audits, and mitigation of supply chain disruptions.
  • Bid Evaluation & Cost Analysis – Support bid committees with comprehensive evaluation: technical comparisons, price scoring, total cost-of-ownership assessments.
  • Conduct supplier due diligence to ensure ethical sourcing practices, compliance with environmental norms, and adherence to anti-bribery standards.
  • Be eager to use BN digital tools to drive transparency, track procurement KPIs, and enable data-driven decisions.
  • Continuously optimize landed cost of RM by balancing price, logistics, payment terms & working capital projections.
  • Work closely with QC and Production teams to ensure sourced material meets Banyan Nation’s stringent quality, impurity, and processing standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Any bachelor’s degree (preferred business administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field).
  • 3–6 years in commercial sourcing, procurement, or supply chain—preferably in PCR/PIR plastic materials or industrial recycling.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

  • Industry Knowledge: Exposure to pharma, FMCG, retail, beverages, automotive, paper & stationery recyclable material streams.
  • Tender Expertise: Proven ability to manage full tender cycles. Should have strong knowledge and hands-on experience in tender management, including preparation, submission, and execution of tenders across sectors like pharma, FMCG, retail, beverage, automobile, and public sector enterprises. Must be capable of independently managing end-to-end tendering processes, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.
  • EPR: Must have sound understanding of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) frameworks and compliance requirements related to PCR/PIR plastic management. Should be capable of supporting sourcing strategies aligned with sustainability goals and regulatory mandates, and effectively engaging with brands and stakeholders for EPR-related material procurement and documentation.
  • Technical knowledge: Understanding of PCR/PIR plastic material grades, quality parameters, impurity standards.
